Managing Complete Cargo Projects
The management of complete cargo projects involves considerable logistics follow-up in close co-ordination with manufacturers, engineering companies or other principals.
Goods coming from different suppliers, with different identification systems, need to be packed on different locations, at suppliers’ premises, at packaging sites or on the quay of embarkation.
Incoming inspection, tracing and tracking of these goods is of absolute importance. Packing materials and methods need to be adapted to the specific requirements of the parts to be packed and the conditions to be expected during transport. The deliveries will never be very regular, deadlines are strict, and of course will require a flexible intermediate storage capacity until the date of departure.
